Nagapattinam town is the headquarters of Nagapattinam District in Tamilnadu. The district was separated from Thanjavur district by the year 1991. Lot of Tourist spots have situated around this district. The famous Mosque “Nagore Durgah” is located 7 kms from Nagapattinam.
